Trailer Hitch and Towing Recommendation for a 2010 Chevy Malibu LT
Question:
What do I need to tow a small enclosed trailer with camping? 2010 Chevy Malibu LT

Expert Reply:
First you would need to start with a trailer hitch for your 2010 Chevy Malibu LT. For that you would want the Draw Tite # C12051 which is a confirmed fit.
For a ball mount # C45522 would be the correct one to use. It will need a pin and clip like # F-4.
For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring you can use # 118450.
I checked an online copy of the owners manual for the 2010 Chevy Malibu and the vehicle is rated for 1,000 pounds. I cannot recommend towing anything heavier than that.
