Missing Towing Module on 2007 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I carried my 2007 honda ridgeline to a mechanic and because the factory plugs were getting no power. They found a broken ground wire and also told me a towing module located under the dash was missing and that that was the reason its getting no power to the back. Any ideas on what they might be talking about or what to do?

I am not sure what towing module they are talking about. If your 2007 Honda Ridgeline came with the factory tow package that included a 7-Way trailer connector at the back then the only reason any part of the towing package would be missing is if someone removed it. It is also possible that the 7-Way on the vehicle is not a factory 7-Way.
So it would appear that you either need to have that missing part installed or hardwire in a different 7-Way connector. It is probably less money to hardwire in a different 7-Way. To do that you would start by installing a 4-Way using # 118400 which plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring.
Next you would need # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way and to wire in a brake controller such as # 90195. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
