Is it Possible to Carry a Bike Rack Between a Vehicle and a Trailer
Question:
I have a 2004 Toyota Matrix XR and would like to mount a 2-bike rack between the car and the trailer. Is this possible?

Expert Reply:
The easiest way to carry a bike rack while towing a trailer is with the bunk trailer adapter part # CC-275 which attaches to the a-frame rails of the trailer and provides you with a way to carry the bike rack above the frame. Since your Matrix hitch will have a lower capacity you will need to be aware of the additional weigh of the rack and bikes in regards to the towing capacities for the vehicle.
