The Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, # 75065, will fit your 2002 Ford F150 Lariat FX4 Off Road. I have not had any issues of this hitch fitting on a FX4 model vehicle. The instructions do not list any footnotes as far as fitting the FX4 model.
I am adding a link to the instructions on the trailer hitch that will show how and where it attaches to your vehicle. It attaches to existing holes in your truck frame. You might want to check the instructions to make sure it will not interfere with anything underneath the rear of your truck.
I am also adding a video link of that same # 75065 hitch being installed on a base 2000 Ford F150.
If you will be towing, you will need the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, # 2753, and the Pin and Clip, # PC3. You will also need a hitch ball. Depending on the coupler size on the trailer you will be towing you will need either a Tow Ready 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball, # 19260, or a Tow Ready 2 inch Hitch Ball, # 19247.
If you need a trailer connector on your truck you would use the Tekonsha Trailer Connector, # 74682, if you have a factory tow package or the Tow ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118344, if you do not have the factory tow package.
