Trailer Connector Recommendation 2008 GMC Canyon for Just Taillight Functions
Question:
I have 1988 Bonair trailer and I need to wire my 2008 GMC Canyon. I only need to wire for brakes and turn signals . How can I find out what setup I need. Thanks

For your 2008 GMC Canyon you will need a 4-way trailer connector to provide you with the turn signals and stoplight functions like the part # 118301 which has been confirmed as a fit.
You referenced the part # 30717 which would then adapt the 4-way to a 7-way for just taillights if needed. The extra wires wouldn't be used.
