The P3 brake Controller, part # 90195 is a great brake controller because it is easy to install and operate. Unfortunately there is no plug-in adapter available to plug the controller into so it will need to be hardwired.
The first thing you will need is a 4-way trailer wiring harness # 119178KIT if you do not have one. Because your brake and turn signals are sent along separate wires, a converter is used in the wiring kit to adapt the wiring for your trailer. The kit has a circuit tester included that helps you identify the wiring functions behind the tail lights on your Land Cruiser. installation instructions are also included.
Next you will need part # ETBC7. This plugs into the 4-way connector and with additional wiring needed for the brake controller. I have attached a couple of drawings that show how the wiring is run when installing the # ETBC7 and the brake controller.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
I have also attached links to some helpful articles about brake controller installation you can check out.
