Installation of Draw-Tite Class I Receiver on 2001 Jeep Wrangler

I would like to know if there is any drilling involed to install a class I hitch to my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Thanks.

We no longer offer a class I hitch for your Jeep Wrangler.

Was there a particular reason why you were interested in the Class I hitch? Due to their limited towing and tongue weight capacity, I typically recommend going with the Class III receiver if the option is available. A Class I and II receiver opening is 1-1/4 inches square, versus 2 inches square for a Class III. As the 2 inch receiver is more common, there is a greater variety of hitch accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers available.

The Curt Class III Receiver, part # 13408 is a budget priced hitch that would be a great choice for towing as well as providing a mounting point for accessories. This hitch does not require any drilling for installation.
