Brake Controller Installation Harness Recommendation for a 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:

I have a 2016 honda pilot with the 7pin factory tow package installed, and 2 years ago I bought a tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller from you guys. Could this be used? I just have the controller. What else would be needed to hook up? Is there some sort of adapter to make it plug and play? On my 2014 Forester I needed to run a power wire from the back to the front is this still needed to do? Thanks for your help on this matter.

Yes, the brake controller install harness part # 3070-P was designed to fit your 2016 Honda Pilot (with slight modification) and would work great to install the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160.

You will need to swap the black and blue wires on this adapter though as Honda made a change for some reason in 2016. Failure to do this will cause the controller to fail. You can easily cut the two wires and swap them to get the circuits to switch.
