Trailer Height Changes Gained from Changing 175/80-13 Tires to 205/75-14

Question:

I have on my trailer ST175/80D13 tires and my question is if I go to a ST205/75D14 tire, how much more height would I gain if any.

According to my calculations, a 175/80-13 tire is about 24 inches in diameter, while a 205/75-14 is about 2 inches larger in diameter at 26 inches. The larger tire would be 1 inch closer to the underside of the trailer or the fender. The larger size will increase the trailer height by 1 inch.

If you click the link I've provided, you can see the 205/75-14 tires we offer. We offer bias ply and radials. Radials tend to run a little cooler, which can translate into longer tire life. Load Range B, C and D are available. You'll want to make sure the combined load range rating of your tires meets or exceeds the weight of the trailer plus what you're planning on carrying on it.
