Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2005 Mini Cooper Convertible
Question:
We have a Mini Cooper S and would like to pull a tear camper with it. Is it possible? Will a Class 1 Hitch work with the basic tear campers or do I need a Class 2? Do you sell a Class 2 hitch to fit a Mini Cooper S?

We do have a trailer hitch that is designed to fit your 2005 Cooper.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 11126. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I am not aware of any Class ll hitches that are available for your Mini.
For a ball mount I recommend part # 3594. This ball mount features a 4 inch rise. If you need a ball mount with a different height you can check out the attached product page that shows the ball mounts we have available. I also attached a helpful article that explains how to choose the right ball mount for you.
For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend part # C40001, and if you need a 2 inch hitch ball for your trailer I recommend part # C40018.
If you need trailer wiring I recommend part # 119250KIT.
You will want to check with your dealership or your owner's manual to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity for your Mini.
