Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for a 2016 Ford Explorer

I am looking for a brake control pig tail for 2016 Ford Explorer w/factory towing. The port that I have on the vehicle is a small white female port above the fuse panel. All the pigtails you show on your website have a lot larger port and are black. Do you carry the pig tail for the 2016 Ford Explorer? Thank You,

We do have an install harness for your 2016 Ford Explorer. To install a Tekonsha brake controller like the very popular P3 # 90195 all you would need is the part # 3035-P.

This cable plugs into a grey connector that is just behind the plastic shield near the emergency brake. It is possible you have not found the correct harness.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
