Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Camper with 840 lbs
Question:
Hello, I have a travel trailer that i just purchased and I am looking for a weight distribution and sway hitch. My camper is 7500 pounds and 840 tongue weight. I have been thinking about purchasing the Reese straight line with sway Im just looking for other opinions. If someone could get back to me that would be great. Thanks

I would highly recommend the Strait Line systems as they feature the only sway control that works to actively keep the trailer from swaying. The part # RP66084 would be your best option as it has tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs which would be perfect for your camper.
You should note that you will want the tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range, but you also need to consider the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle as tongue weight.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
