Recommended Easy To Use Bike Rack for Audi Q7
Question:
Looking for a 3 or 4 bike rack for an Audi Q7. Looking at Thule Apex. I wont be using it too often but want something that is easy to use and reliable. What would you recommend? Thx.

The Thule Apex you mentioned, part # TH9025XT would be an excellent choice. The rack can accommodate up to 4 bikes, and by flipping one of the two levers, you can tilt the rack rearward for cargo area access once the bikes are removed. The other lever allows the arms to fold down flat which is a nice feature when you're not carrying bikes but want to leave the rack on the vehicle.
The rack includes an integrated cable lock and an anti rattle hitch bolt, but the locking hitch bolt is available separately as part # THSTL2.
As you can see by looking through the reviews, this rack is highly rated by our customers.
A less expensive alternative would be the Thule Hitching Post Pro, part # TH934XTR. The Hitching Post Pro is less refined in appearance, uses snapper pins instead of the easier to use levers to control the tilting and folding feature and lacks a cable lock. If these features aren't necessarily important, you can save a considerable amount of money by going with the Hitching Post Pro, which is also very highly rated by our customers.
