Anti-Rattle Locking Hitch Pin for Thule Vertex on a 2015 Honda Accord
Question:
I have a 2015 Honda Accord sedan and am buying the Curt 1 1/4inch hitch with the Thule Vertex 2-bike rack. What is your recommendation for a locking hitch pin to prevent theft? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
To add a locking hitch pin to the Thule Vertex bike rack you will need the Snug-Tite lock # THSTL2. No other locking hitch pin will fit because bike rack manufacturers use threads unique to their products so you have to use their lock/pin (with few exceptions).
The Vertex and lock will fit the Curt hitch # C11681 for your 2015 Honda Accord sedan. However, Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
