If by RV you mean a motor home and not a trailer then it can have self-adjusting brakes but every vehicle I had with drum brakes were manual adjust. And of course disc brakes are self-adjusting by design so if it has disc brakes then for sure yes.

If you are talking about a travel trailer or 5th wheel trailer then it could have self-adjusting drum brakes. Even if the trailer does not have self-adjusting brakes you can install some if you wanted to.

I have included a picture showing a regular electric brake and a self-adjusting electric brake to show the difference.

We usually recommend replacing an entire trailer drum brake assembly, rather than individual parts like brake shoes, since the cost is not much more. This gives you a brand new complete brake and avoids the potential for having to tear them down…
