Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 30047 5th wheel hitch that I took off of my 2007 ram 1500 and I want to put it on my 2008 ram 1500 but I dont know what mount kit I would need as I left the rails on my old truck that I sold, I have attached a picture of the tag on the hitch with the date

For a fifth wheel rail kit confirmed to fit your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 you would want the Reese Custom Kit part # RP50040-58 which is a custom fit kit for your truck. A custom fit kit like this will install in less time than a universal kit and will minimize drilling. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.

This will work great with your Reese Fifth Wheel Hitch part # RP30047. However, since your truck is a short bed you will need a slider to allow it to make tight turns. For that you would want the part # RP50024 to replace the legs of the hitch with the round tube slider.
