Installing a Transmission Cooler on a 2000 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I see you have a video showing how to install a tranny cooler on a 2006 Odyssey. Is the installation pretty much the same for a 2000 Honda Odyssey? I am mostly concerned about how to route the hoses and identifying the proper lines to connect to.

The 2000 and 2006 Honda Odyssey are different generations so installation will not be 100 percent the same on your 2000 as the video shows for the 2006. Basically, the difference is locating the proper lines on the transmission.
Here is an easy way to find out the right lines. With the vehicle cold, start the motor, step on and hold the brake, and shift into drive for about 15 second or so (you could also shift from drive to reverse and back a few times). Then put the vehicle in park and release the brake. Next get under the vehicle and find the lines coming from the transmission. One should be noticeably cooler. That is the return line. The hot one is the line that goes to the factory cooler.
Other than that using the video for the 2006 will be a good guide for the rest of the installation.
