Tow Bar and Shield Recommendation for Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plates on 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

2 questions, just received my Roadmaster brackets part # RM-521448-5 from etrailer.com for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I have an older Roadmaster tow bar, I believe its an Eagle 8000, is that going to be compatible with these new brackets? Also, whats the best option for these brackets when it comes to shielding my Jeep? It doesnt seem that the Roadmaster shield will work with these brackets. Thanks for your help!

The Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate # RM-521448-5 for your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is compatible with the Roadmaster Eagle 8000 Towbar. I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and confirmed that these components are compatible together.

Since the Eagle 8000 is an old-model tow bar, it is likely time to upgrade to a new tow bar. The typical life expectancy for a tow bar is approximately 10 years/70,000 miles. If you'd like to upgrade the tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar # RM-520. I have attached a review video of this tow bar for you.

To protect your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited while towing, I recommend the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750. This screening will help deflect rocks, gravel, and road debris away from the front of your Jeep. The Tow Defender will fit on motorhome-mounted tow bars like the Falcon or Eagle 8000.
