For your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with an 8 foot bed I would recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Rail kit part # C16418-204 which has been confirmed as a fit for your truck. Since this is a custom fit kit it will install in about half the time as a universal and will minimize drilling.
This rail kit will work well with the Q20 Fifth Wheel Hitch part # C16130 that you mentioned as well.
