2015 Jeep Patriot Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation
Question:
Hello, I am looking into installing a tow package on my 2015 Jeep Patriot. I have watched several videos and the install looks rather easy. The only thing I am concerned about is the wiring for a trailer. Is there instructions available for installing the wiring, or is it a trial and error type of deal?

For trailer wiring for your 2015 Jeep Patriot we have custom fit options that will basically plug inline with the taillights of your vehicle. For that the Curt harness part # 118552 has been confirmed as a fit. I attached an install video that shows how it will install.
For a hitch the Curt part # C13081 has been confirmed as a fit and would be a great option that we would recommend for you. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
