Should New Tires be Put on Front or Rear Axle of Utility Trailer if Only One Set Is Bought
Question:
If buying only one set of new tires for a tandem axle utility trailer, should the new set go on the front or rear axle? Thanks,

I would recommend going with new tires all around as the best solution, but if only one axle can be done at this time you should note that the front axle will typically carry more of the weight, but the rear wheels will wear out quicker as they scrub or skid sideways when the trailer is turning.
The best way to determine which tires to replace would be to inspect the tires of the trailer and replace the ones that are the most worn out.
