Compatibility of Curt WD Shank C17124 With Reese and Draw-Tite WD Head Assemblies

hello, I am interested in the C17124 WD shank. I saw in your QandA that this is compatible with Reese WD systems. Is it compatible with Draw-tite systems? Thanks.

Curt weight distribution (WD) shank # C17124 is indeed compatible with a Reese head assembly and it will also work with Draw-Tite brand heads. (Reese and Draw-Tite are sister brands.) Most WD shanks made nowadays use the same 1-1/4-inch hole spacing as found on the Curt shank so compatibility across brands is quite good. A much older WD system may not be compatible.

Please note this shank is intended to be used in the drop position only. With a round bar system is will provide 10-inches of drop and with a trunnion bar system it will provide 9-inches of drop.

I'm not sure which W/D system you're speaking of, but the Curt #C17124 shank is compatible with all the Reese and Curt Weight Distribution systems we carry.
