Choosing an Auto-Leveling System for 28-Foot Toy Hauler 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I am a previous customer interested in a leveling system for my fifth wheel toy hauler. It is a 2013 PowerLite by Pacific Coach works, 28ft GVWR 13,800lbs. Will a 4 jack system work for this coach or should I use a 6 jack system. I am assuming the replacement of the front landing gear and the other two jacks behind the rear tires if a 4 jack system. I do camp in the desert not always flat ground so before I spend the money on something like this I am interested if it would be worth the price or just cause additional problems. I have been provided excellent feedback from etrailer in the past so I trust your input. If you feel this would be a good product for me please provide your best fit complete system part number. Thanks.

I checked with one of my 5th wheeling associates here at etrailer about the suitability of the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590 for use with your 2013 PowerLite toy hauler. The four 5000-lb-jacks in this system will be fine for your 28-foot trailer. The 6-jack system is suited to larger trailers and would be overkill.

The Ground Control 3.0 offers both manual operation and an auto-level feature. The auto level can be operated from either the included touchpad or the touchscreen remote. This system's rear jacks fit on 8-, 10- or 12-inch frames.

The Ground Control 3.0 includes the control module, sensor, wiring harnesses, and mounting hardware; and it is USA-made. Please refer to the linked video for more on the Ground Control system.
