To provide both 4-way flat and 7-way round trailer connectors at the rear of your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, I recommend using the Reese Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connector # 74682. This connector will allow you to use either style of trailer connector and will not require cutting and splicing to install.
Even if your vehicle did not come with a factory trailer connector, your Silverado should be wired for a trailer connector. The wiring harness will be secured at the rear of the truck, somewhere between the bumper and spare tire, and likely tucked up and out of the way. The connector will have a cap on the end of it. The Reese Trailer Connector # 74682 will install with this connector.
I have attached an installation video of this trailer connector for you.
