I have a solution for you, but our trailer hitch manufacturers do not have a Class III trailer hitch confirmed to fit the 1993 BMW 740i. The only trailer hitch we offer that is confirmed to fit your vehicle is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver with Fixed Drawbar, Class I # C11516. I have attached the installation instructions for you.
This trailer hitch with fixed drawbar will allow you to pull a trailer for the wheelchair behind your BMW 740i. You can use a small trailer, such as part # K2MMT5X7. This trailer has a payload capacity of 1,640 pounds and cargo area dimensions of 88 inches long x 52 inches wide. This trailer doesn't have a ramp to help load the wheel chair, so you may need to find or fabricate a ramp to work for you.
To control the lights on the trailer, you will need a wiring harness for your 740i. If you do not already have a wiring harness, I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59496. The installation instructions for the harness are attached.
