Hitch Mounted Motorcycle/Scooter Carrier Options for 2016 Roadtrek TS Adventurous RV

Question:

I have a 2016 Roadtrek TS Adventurous RV built on a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter chassis that has a class 3- 2inch hitch. All of your motorcycle carrier have a note that indicates not recommended for 5th wheel or motorhome. So my question is, do you have any carriers you would recommend for my Roadtrek to carry my 2012 Vespa 250 gts or my 2016 Bmw r ninet? Thanks

The carrier itself has a 500 lb capacity, and according to my research, the weight of your BMW R9T is just under 500 lbs. You'll want to ensure that the hitch on your Roadtrek has a tongue weight capacity greater than the weight of the bike or scooter plus the 45 lb weight of the carrier. The carrier can accommodate tires up to 5 inches wide, according to my research, the 130/70-12 rear tire of the Vespa is right at 5 inches wide, so it will fit.

If you find that the weight of the bike and the scooter exceed the tongue weight capacity of the hitch, using a small trailer like # K2MMT5X7 is the best alternative.
