Can SnowBear Snow Plows be Used on Public Roads

Question:

Hello, Im looking for a snowplow for my 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 3.4L 4wd. Im interested in the Snowbear models but the description states that they should be removed after each use because they are not designed for public road travel. Could you provide more detail on what components render them inappropriate for normal driving on public roads? Also, is this a recommendation or a legal issue regarding DOT snowplow policy?

I spoke with my contact at SnowBear and he informed me that SnowBear does not recommend any of its snowplow systems to be driven down public roads as its snowplow systems will encroach lamp illumination patterns as they do not maintain an integrated headlamp system for illumination of day time running lights, low and high beam dusk to dawn illumination including parking lights as well as directional turn signal lights.

SnowBear offers an off-road light kit which assists in night time off-road illumination only and does not maintain low/high beam options, parking light, daytime running light or directional turn signal options. That would be part number # SB324-127.
