Battery Box and Solar Panel Recommendation for Charging Trailer Battery

Question:

I have a 17foot travel trailer I use for both camping and hunting. I have a two battery setup to control the lights and other electrical components. Im looking to be able to recharge the batteries during the day with a solar panel. What would it take to manage and recharge two batteries during the day? Thanks

The TorkLift PowerArmor battery box # TLA7708RS has the following internal dimensions: 26-1/2" long x 7-3/8" wide x 12-9/16" tall. You would have to place your batteries next to each other and measure them to determine if both will fit in this box.

Provided the batteries are wired as a 12 volt system the solar panel can charge them. But charging 2 batteries will take twice as long. The batteries would need to be at least at 50 percent charge for the solar panel to charge them up.

A second solar panel, # TLA7713, would not completely fit on top of this box. But if you wanted to mount it elsewhere or have it hang off the end of the lid you could.

I attached an install video that shows a similar battery box and solar panel being installed on a trailer for you to check out as well.
