Differences Between Horizontal and Vertical Erickson E-Tracks
Question:
Your Etrack is sold for vertical and horizontal applications, is there a difference between each besides where its going to be mounted. Both versions look identical.

Expert Reply:
Erickson E-Tracks are offered in various lengths and for either horizontal or vertical installation on your trailer's deck or interior walls. An example of a vertical E-Track is part # E19146 and examples of a horizontal track are part # EM59150 and part # EM19147 that you referenced. You'll notice that the direction of the slots does differ.
You will want to use 2 fasteners minimum per linear foot of track. Use fasteners on both sides of the track. So for example, a 2-foot track section such as # EM59150 would need at least 6 fasteners to secure it. Certainly more can be used but Erickson recommends 2 per linear foot per side.
