Fit of Thule Force XT XXL Roof Mounted Cargo Box on 1999 VW Jetta
Question:
you showed this box on newer jettas but my 1999 jetta isnt so different, but does not have roof racks at this point. could you please tell me if this would work on my car and list all the parts i would need to buy to set up a roof rack/mounting system to work with this box. thank you!

The Thule Force XT XXL Roof Cargo Box, # TH6359B, would work great on your Jetta once you got the roof rack installed. Rhino Rack offers some quality roof rack options for your Jetta that are reasonably priced. If you wanted a square bar roof rack, you'd need the following parts:
Crossbars, part # RRVA118B-2
Legs, part # RRRLKVA
Vehicle specific clamp kit, part # DK092
This would be our most popular option based on quality and cost. The Aero bar will reduce wind noise and some choose to further reduce it with a fairing like part # RRRF2 although it is not required.
