Firestone Ride Rite Kit Recommendation for a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I have the extended cab, short 6 1/2 ft bed model and haul a 1,400 lb truck camper. The camper extends past the end of the bed when installed so having the air valves mounted on the rear bumper would result in them being difficult to access when they are needed the most. Are there any other locations you would recommend? Besides the air valves, is there any additional drilling needed on this model?

The Firestone Ride Rite kit part # F2430 has been confirmed as a fit for your 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 2 wheel drive. You might be able to install the air valve in the wheel well somewhere or on the outsides of the rear bumper so that it would be easily accessible.

However, your best solution would be a compressor kit like the part # F2158. This will allow you to control the pressure in the bags from the interior of your truck and wouldn't require you to get creative with the location of the air valves.
