Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon
Question:
Will this trailer fit on my Mazda 6 WAGON?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt trailer hitch # C11308 fits the Sport Wagon model of the 2004 Mazda 6. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
If you want to do some light duty towing then for a ball mount you can use # C45022. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # C59236.
