Can a 1,150 Pound UTV be Safely Carried on a Trailer Rated for 1,300 Pounds
Question:
I have a utv that weights 1150 lbs , can I safely haul this vehicle on a trailer 5 by 10 in excellent condition utv fits perfect , The trailer payload capacity of 1300 lbs. Towing vehicle is plenty strong enough to haul trailer and utv? Nothing else would be on the trailer plus no more then 3 gallons of gas in utv. Thank you in advance for your help

Helpful Expert Reply:
Your 1,150 pound UTV is under the capacity of the trailer which you have listed at 1,300 pounds so this set up would work fine and be safe. Provided that you stay within the trailer capacity then it would not be a problem.
Keep in mind that you will need parts to secure the UTV to the trailer and factor in that weight as well. An axle strap such as # BDW20229 is a great option. It is light weight and has a 10,000 pound capacity so it can handle the UTV easily. I have linked a video review of this strap for you.
