5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit for a 2016 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

I have a 2016 dodge ram 5-1/2foot box can l use my hijacker 24-USP-16, 24ULSMODEL and if some what rail and brackets would l order

It looks like your HiJacker fits in industry standard above the bed rails. There are a couple of installation kits you could use for your 2016 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed (if it is a crew cab and does not have air suspension or the EcoDiesel motor). You can use installation kit # RP30035 with special brackets # RP58523.
With such a short bed a slider hitch is not going to offer enough travel to make 90 degree turns without interference between the truck and trailer. The tailgate might also have to come off to even slide the hitch back.
What you will need is a fixed hitch and a Sidewinder to replace the pin box on the trailer. For a fixed hitch I recommend Reese # RP30047. For a Sidewinder I would need to know the manufacturer and the model number of the pin box. This information should be on a sticker or plate on the pin box.
