Recommended Weight distribution With Sway Control For Towing Travel Trailer With 2003 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a 2003 F250 4x4 with a 6ft bed. I just purchased a travel trailer with the following specifications: Hitch weight 720, UVW 5550, GVWR 7600. Can you please suggest a weight distribution and sway system for my setup? Thanks

The weight distribution system I recommend is the Reese Strait-Line System, part # RP66084. This system has a gross trailer weight capacity of 12,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight between 600 and 1,200 lbs. The system also has sway control to help keep the trailer in line when facing crosswinds or large trucks passing by.
This system is designed to fit 2 inch trailer receivers and requires a hitch ball with a 1-1/4 inch shank like part # A-90 for a 2 inch ball and part # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball.
When calculating tongue weight you will need to know the tongue weight of the trailer in its fully-loaded ready-to-tow condition added to the weight of any cargo you are carrying behind the rear axle in the towing vehicle.
I have attached a helpful article about weight distribution you can check out.
