Can a Trailer with Air Brakes be Converted to Electric Over Hydraulic
Question:
I have a pickup with a regular electric trailer brake controller and a light dumptruck trailer with air brakes that Id like to convert over to electric to be pulled behind the pickup. Do you have any kits or parts that would help me do this. Such as an electric solenoid that would pull the trailer brake in the same place where the spring air pot does after removing it, of course. Thanks a lot,

I attached a help article that will walk you through the entire process of adding electric over hydraulic brakes on a trailer. This will be your guide to follow basically.
You will need to first determine what spindles you have on your trailer so that you can build the kit around that. You will need to remove the hubs you have and either get the bearing numbers or dimensions of the spindle where the bearings/seal ride.
Your brake controller will need to be compatible with EOH brakes as well. The most popular option for that is the P2 # 90885.
Lastly, I would recommend the HydraStar actuator part # HBA16 as this is the most reliable one on the market.
