Converting 4-Pole Flat Connector on Honda Odyssey to 6-Way Square Connector on Pop-Up Camper

Question:

I have purchased a 1999 Dutchman Pop up camper. It has a 6 way plug on the camper side and I have a 4 way plug on the Honda Odyssy. Will this part work on this camper like the jayco or are they different. Do you have an adapter?

The adapter you were looking at, part # 30104 will work with Jayco campers only. An adapter like this would only provide directionals as well as brake and running lights for the camper.

If you only need the lighting circuits functional on your trailer, you can simply remove the existing 6-way and install a 4-way trailer end, part # 18004.

If your camper has electric brakes, and you want them to actuate, you will need to install a brake controller as well as an upgraded trailer connector on your Odyssey. If this is the case, I would recommend installing a 6-way round trailer connector on your trailer, like part # H20036. You can then install the corresponding connector on the vehicle, part # 37175. Using this part will provide lighting functions for your trailer by plugging into your existing 4-way. If you need a 12-volt power source for the trailer, the black lead on the connector can be ran to the positive battery terminal using a 40 amp inline circuit breaker, part # 9510.

Part # 37175 also offers a blue lead for the brake controller output. If you wish to install a brake controller on your Odyssey, you will be better off purchasing the Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC6. Part # 37175 is included in the kit, as well as all wire, circuit breakers and necessary hardware.

I will include links below to the parts I have mentioned above, as well as some other installation information you might find helpful.
