Troubleshooting Malfunctioning Powered Trailer Jack
Question:
My power jack will only work when connected to the truck . It was working independently without plugging into the truck then for some reason it quit when I was raising it. The only way I could it to work was with the 7 pin plug . It wouldnt even work when the shore cable was connected. Any idea where to look? I cant find any inline fuse not even at the battery.

I'd recommend examining the connections between the jack and the trailer battery. Is the power connection between the battery secure? The jack picks up its ground connection by being in direct contact with the trailer frame, so be sure that the connection between the jack and the trailer is secure and isn't corroded. Make sure the trailer mounted battery that powers the jack is properly grounded to the trailer frame.
