Trailer Hitch and Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendations for 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
need BEST trailer hitch for 2012 Dodge Caravan

Expert Reply:
I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 75579. The Curt # 13364 is a nice product, but the hitch warranty states that a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 needs to be used for any non-trailer loads like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
The hitch will provide an excellent mounting point for a bike rack or cargo carrier, but if you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll also need the following items to complete your towing system:
If the same lights illuminate when you apply the blinkers and when you apply the brakes then you have combined taillights and would want part # C56331. If they are different you would then want the part # C56190.
Ball mount, part # 2753
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260 or 2 inch trailer ball, part # 63845
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
I've linked you to an installation video for the hitch.
