How Do I find Hitch Weight Capacity of my Pleasure Way RV
Question:
We have a Pleasure Way RV with a car tow hitch,and would like to use it to carry additional cargo what is the max weight that I can use as a tongue weight, we are looking at the swing away style and I notice that you have two different models one 165 lbs and 1 at 250 lbs.

The hitch should have the tongue weight capacity stamped or labeled on it. Check to see if you find it there. Also, check the owner manual of the RV to see if it is listed there. You must abide by the lowest of the two figures if they are different.
Remember, the weight figures you found are the weight capacity of the carriers. You also have to take into account the weight of the carrier itself.
The Yakima EVO carrier, part # Y62VR, has a capacity of 100 pounds and the carrier weighs about 97 pounds. The total tongue weight load, if you loaded a full 100 pounds of cargo, would be 197 pounds.
