Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation that Is Also Gooseneck for 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Hello, I am in the process of buying a 25ft Shadow Cruiser 5er, 4300lbs dry that was pulled by a Toyota Tundra. The guy wants to include his 5th wheel as part of the deal, but I heard it takes a special arrangement for the Toyota. Is this just in how the rails are mounted on the Toyota or do I need a whole new 5th wheel assembly? As an aside, my most desired configuration is an under the bed gooseneck and removable ball where one doesnt have to drill holes in the frame when mounting the hitch. I need my full truck bed when not pulling. What parts do I need and how much will it cost. Thanking you in advance.

Based on what you described as your desired fifth wheel setup it sounds like you would need a B and W Companion setup as that is exactly what you described.
For a rail kit that also doubles as a gooseneck hitch you would want the part # BWGNRK1007-5W. Unlike most fifth wheel setup this would not require any frame drilling and would also give you complete truck bed access when the fifth wheel hitch is removed.
If you have a long bed truck you would then want the fifth wheel hitch part # BWRVK3500-5W. If you have a short bed truck you would need the hitch to be a slider # BWRVK3400-5W.
