The Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118494 has a powered converter that helps protect the vehicle wiring circuit and will supply enough power for the trailer wiring if needed.
The Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 56094 would be a good choice if you have LED lights on your trailer or if you do not have a lot of lights.
I recommend the # 118494 because it does help prevent any damage to the vehicle wiring and would make sure you have sufficient power to the wiring on your trailer.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
