Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness # C56170 that Stopped Working
Question:
I installed the subject harness and it worked great, providing full function to my boat trailer. The next day I found I had left the tailgate door open too long and had a dead battery. And, oddly enough no power to the 4-pin connector. I checked the 30 amp fuse in the aux box under the hood which looked fine I did not do a continuity check and the 10 amp fuse on the harness which looked fine. I did have to the radio code to reset the anti- theft feature. Any thought on how to trace the power disconnect?

Sounds like you blew a trailer wiring fuse under the hood of your 2012 Honda Pilot. Since the part # C56170 connects to factory wiring that is circuit protected you would need to find the fuse that protects the circuit on your vehicle wiring and replace as necessary.
There are also some towing related relays that you would need to check that are in the fuse panel as well.
