How to Carry a Trike Plus Two Bikes with a 2014 Chevy Cruze
Question:
We have a 2014 chevy cruze with a 1 1/4inch receiver hitch. This is the only car in our family. We need to transport 1 recumbent trike and 1 regular 2 wheel bike. Im wondering if we can use an adapter from 2inch to 1 1/4inch to use this bike rack? The trailer hitch is only available in 1 1/4. What can we do? I dont want to buy a new car to ride a bike. the trike is a 2015 EZ-TRI Classic SX Recumbent and the 2 wheeler 10 speed.

We are going to have to get a bit creative for you to be able to carry a trike recumbent plus two other bikes with your 2014 Chevy Cruze.
Since you have a Class I 1-1/4 inch hitch there's no way to carry the trike at the hitch. You would need to go with a roof rack option. First you will need a roof rack. For that I would recommend the Rhino Rack parts # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK142.
Now here's where it gets interesting. Since there isn't a trike bike rack available for roof racks you would have to use three bike racks like part # S64710 (one for each wheel), so that you can carry it.
The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This rack has a ton of positive reviews from our customers who have tried it. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
