Inner Diameters Of Bearings Included In Dexter Hub Assembly # 84655UC1-EZ
Question:
I am interested in purchasing a 6 lug hub with bearings. On bearings #s L68149 and L44649 you do not state what the inner diameter of the bearings are. I need bearings with an innner diameter of 1 3/8th for rear and 1 and 1/16th front. What do your bearings measure?

Expert Reply:
The inner diameter of the # L68149 bearing measures 1.378 inches. The 1-3/8 measurement you gave is equal to 1.375 inches.
The inner diameter of the # L44649 bearing measures 1.063 inches. The 1-1/16 measurement you gave me is equal to 1.062 inches.
You can use a digital caliper to measure your spindle to ensure you find the correct size bearing. A digital caliper allows you to measure as exactly as possible. If your inner bearing measures 1.375 instead of 1.378, you will want to use bearing # LM48548 instead of # L68149.
I have attached a diagram showing where to measure your spindle to find these measurements. You will want to measure at location C and D in the diagram to find the inner and outer bearing inner diameters. You can also measure the inner diameters of your current bearings.
