Re. Previous msg. Well, I figured out what a 3X4inch tongue is. I was going to mount the tire carrier on my rear trailer bumper which is 4X4. With different bolts would this tire carrier fit?

Yes, with longer bolts you could attach the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier # FSTC1000301 to a 4 inch by 4 inch frame/bumper. We had a customer leave a review on this mount and he said that with longer bolts he was able to use this mount on a 4 inch by 4 inch bumper and it worked fine.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
