Best Option for Carrying Bikes on 2008 BMW 328i Coupe

Question:

I am looking for a hitch for my 2008 BMW 328i Coupe E92 for use with a bike rack. I have seen conflicting answers on this and other sites concerning the availability of a hitch that will fit. For example, it was suggested elsewhere that the V81821 Valley Stealth Vertical Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 2 would fit. Please advise which, if any, hitch will fit. Thank you.

Your best option for carrying bikes on your 2008 BMW 328i Coupe is going to be to use a trunk mounted bike carrier. Unfortunately we do not offer a hitch that has been confirmed to fit your vehicle.

I have included a link to all of the trunk mounted bike racks that will fit the 328i Coupe. My personal favorite is the Thule OutWay 2-Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This bike rack uses only 2 coated steel cables with coated hooks to attach the rack firmly to your vehicle's trunk or rear hatch. These cables will last much longer than the 4-6 nylon straps used on most carriers and are extremely easy to use which allow the rack to be installed or removed in a matter of seconds. The mounting cables are lockable and the rack also includes an integrated cable lock to deter theft.
