If you currently have a 6-way connector on your trailer, the 7-wire # DW04914-1 will be too large for your connector. In that case, you will want to use the 6-wire # DW04906-1.

If your vehicle has a 7-way connector and you've been using an adapter, this is a great time to add a 7-way connector to your trailer to avoid needing the adapter. A 7-way connector is the more commonly found connector. You can use the 7-wire # DW04914-1 with a 7-way connector # PK12706, or a pre-wired connector like # H20046, to convert your trailer to a 7-way connector. If you need a new 6-way connector on your trailer, you can use the pre-wired connector with pigtail # H20036.

When installing the connector pigtail on your trailer, a junction box # 38656 will help protect your connection points and give the installation a more professional look. Ring terminals, # DW05705-1 for the wiring from the trailer and # DW05702-1 for the wiring from the pigtail, will allow you to connect the wires to the posts in the junction box. Metal loom clamps # A0500 will allow you to secure your wires up and out of the way after installation.
