Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Only Gives full Voltage When Manual Override is Applied

I have a 2010 Ford f 150 lariat brakes only works by adjusting the controller by hand will not work with the brake peddle gets very little voltage when applying brake but when operate by hand gets 12 volts what is the problem

It sounds like you have a proportional brake controller installed in your 2010 Ford F-150 and you are trying to test the brake output of it with the vehicle at a stop.
Since the controller is proportional it will need to sense deceleration before it will start to apply a decent amount of braking power. Most likely your controller is working fine. You should test it with a trailer connected. Make a few slow stops to see if the controller starts activating the brakes of the trailer.
