As you mentioned, the major difference between the round bar and the trunnion bar system is that the trunnion bar system provides more ground clearance.

If the 1060 lbs you referenced represents the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight, the Reese Strait-Line # RP66084 trunnion bar system is what I'd recommend for you.

The Reese Strait-Line is perfect for a long, heavy trailer such as yours. Long, enclosed trailers are especially susceptible to sway caused crosswinds and turbulence from passing traffic. The Strait-Line will force the trailer to stay in line behind the tow vehicle, preventing sway before it can begin.

The system includes the weight distributing shank, but the 2-5/16 inch trailer ball, part # 19286 is sold separately.
